Join Us for Balance Awareness Week 2024!
We are excited to announce that the American Balance Society is partnering with the
Vestibular Disorders Association (VeDA) for Balance Awareness Week, taking place
from September 15-21, 2024. This annual weeklong campaign aims to broaden the
awareness and understanding of balance-related vestibular conditions, which
affect millions of people worldwide.

Vestibular disorders are conditions that impact the inner ear and brain, leading to
issues with balance, dizziness, vertigo, and spatial orientation. These symptoms
are often invisible to others, making it challenging for those affected to receive the
understanding and support they need. Misunderstanding and lack of awareness
can result in delays in diagnosis and treatment, exacerbating the suffering of those
with these conditions.

By partnering with VeDA, the American Balance Society is committed to increasing public
awareness, promoting understanding, and providing support for individuals living
with vestibular disorders.

The American Balance Society is dedicated to the empowerment of health care professionals to make evidenced-based, patient-centered decisions in the pursuit of improved clinical care for patients with dizziness, balance, and movement disorders, but to extend and expand our basic science knowledge of vestibular anatomy and physiology.
We invite you to join us in making vestibular disorders visible. Please visit
vestibular.org/BAW to learn more about how you can get involved!
